Der 18-Loch-Golfplatz, Par 72 im Herzen der Garden Route wurde von Gary Player entworfen. Der Platz wurde 2003 eröffnet und wurde bereits 2008 unter die Top 30 von Golf Digest der Top 100 Ranking in Südafrika gewählt. Er war ebenfalls mehrfach Austragungsort der Südafrikanischen Amateurmeisterschaften

Golfer erleben atemberaubende Ausblicke auf die Keurbooms Lagune, den Indischen Ozean, die spektakulären Tsitsikamma Mountains und der berühmten Robberghalbinsel. Die Schönheit der natürlichen Fynbos, einheimischen Bäumen und einer Fülle der Tier-und Vogelwelt garantieren ein ganz besonderes Golferlebnis.

Die einzigartige Ansiedlung des Golfplatzes auf einer Sanddüne ermöglicht das Spielen des Kurses für alle Spielstärken, wobei eine exellente Mischung aus einheimischen und Nadelbäumen, sowie zahlreiche Wasserhindernisse für eine große Herausforderung sorgen. Da er etwas weiter vom Meer entfernt in einem Tal liegt, ist er auch besser vom Wind geschützt, als die meisten Plätze in dieser Region. Der Sandboden lässt das Spielen auch nach schweren Regenfällen zu.

Das Anwesen ist sicher und hat eine bemannte Entry / Exit-Barriere.

The Goose Valley Golf Club is situated in pristine surroundings, only 4km from Plettenberg Bay, bordering on the Keurbooms Lagoon, access to the Club is from the N2.

This magnificent golf estate offers a splendid Gary Player designed 72 par, 18-hole signature golf course in the heart of the Garden Route.

Golfers will experience breathtaking views of the Keurbooms Lagoon, the Indian Ocean, the spectacular Tsitsikamma Mountains and the famous Robberg Peninsula. The beauty of the natural fynbos, indigenous trees and an abundance of animal and bird life add a special dimension to your golfing experience.

The club house includes a spacious, elegant restaurant and bar with a delightful choice of light meals. The well-stocked pro-shop handles green fees, golf cart and golf club hire. You can expect a warm and friendly reception from a helpful team of staff members and teaching professionals.

The golfing experience is further enhanced by a state-of-the-art driving range with practice chipping, putting and bunker play facilities.

The unique siting of the golf course on a sand dune allows for easy draining of the course and provides the perfect base for year round play, even after heavy rains on tees and greens. An excellent blend of indigenous and coniferous trees complements the picturesque views and water features to provide a challenge to golfers of all abilities.

The 18 – hole course opened in 2003 and quickly became acknowledged as a quality venue, reaching number 52 in the Golf Digest rankings of the top 100 courses in 2005. In 2006, the course progressed into the ranks of the top 50. In 2007, we are now in the top 30 and have received GOLD status for our ´golfing experience´.

Goose Valley has recently (2008) been upgraded from 21st to 18th best conditioned course in the country.

This was confirmed when Goose Valley hosted the South African Amateur Championships.

Subsequently the SAJGF Southern Cape, the Southern Cape Close and numerous other prominent events have been held here.

Goose Valley is a venue of excellence, set in beautiful surroundings, in the heart of a golfing mecca – the Garden Route – with the ability to welcome the individual, the small group, or the company golf day.

The course is complemented by a stylish, and well appointed clubhouse.

The restaurant, ´The Clubhouse´, enjoys views across the 18th fairway and green and serves hearty and healthy breakfasts as well as delicious lunches.

The bar is equipped with a huge Plasma television, perfect for watching the game, and serves the terrace area, halfway house and the restaurant.

The spacious covered terrace is ideal for sundowners after the round or simply unwinding after a busy day sightseeing and exploring the beautiful and diverse surroundings.

The mens’ and womans’ changeroom facilities are state-of -the-art, and provide fresh fluffy towels, complimentary soaps and shampoos and are serviced regularly.

The estate is secure and has a manned entry/exit barrier.

The venue is available for hire for private functions such as weddings and parties. Whether you are looking for a quiet drink after your game, or a special dinner for up to 130 people, we have a place for you.
